In the land of 420, it will take a long time before we can get a 911 there.

The safest place in KTM is to live in a house which is just opposite of Damkal Department for emergency, opposite of Sundarijal for water, opposite of Kulekhani for electricty, opposite of Kalimati for grocery and opposite of Jhamsikhel for entertainment which,of course, can't happen at once.Given the volume of congested house in Thamel glued to each other without proper backups, its a miracle that no single soul has perished on that fire. The govt is too busy in day dreaming about elections than purchasing made-in-Japan kind of moden Damkals.I guess they have 10 of those life saving Damkals for 5 million people of KTM.Its always better to be fully sufficed in all those emergency backups by yourself in country like Nepal where "help" comes tooooooo late.
