You do know that when you torrent, you do have access to IPs of concurrently leeching the content. So, these enforcers are there hiding/leeching/tracking/seeding and they get you, and when they get you, they through your ISP send you letters like that. If it's not your fault, you've every right to defend yourself but if it's yours, I haven't yet forgotten a case of a woman who downloaded songs and shared it, only for her to be in the jail for over 50 years and penalties of $200,000. Defendants can't really do when these big guys come after you.
If I were you, I would talk to your ISP and see what they say or resolve the case ASAP.

The only possibility of getting such letter is either you downloaded new movies or tons of music. These two industries will come after you. Pay it and be done with it.

Don't worry about it dude.... a friend of mine had similar problem some time ago(last year) while downloading some movie...i think may be ur ISP is either charter or comcast...just make sure that you don't click the link or provide any info about you to the link that they provide in email..DON'T MAKE ANY PAYMENT!!...just igmore their mail...
they don't know who you are at the moment so there is no legal way of finding that it's you which means there is no chance of going after you...your isp will send a warning mail that's about it...there is no way to prove that it's you unless you pay the money that makes you guilty then they will keep black mailing you which means more tension...so just leave it as it is...don't download torrents for a while...i mean who doesn't download torrent..there are freaking millions out there...it's just sometimes you get unlucky cos you downloaded some torrent that they provide to ambush...peace out bro..

Jyapu ji - Read this too while you are at it --- http://copyright-infringement-notice.com/
"I already gave them my name/entered the code/called them/visited their site! What do I do?!" Relax! You still have factors working in your favor that make it very unlikely you'll actually be sued. Remember that they're in this game to make money, and you're supposed to "chicken out" and cough up some money without them ever having to prove their case in court. If you don't pay up, the copyright troll will have to decide between letting it slide and focusing on easier prey, or paying a few hundred dollars in filing fees plus the daily salary for a real lawyer to stand in that courtroom.
God Speed!
