Anuji I wish I could say that I am honored to be mentioned by you, the daughter of our great president or politician in particular but unfortunately our so called leader have let us down again and again. So I don't take that pride. And my point was not to denounce you in any manner. My only wish was that we wish we could have known you as Anu Yadav before we knew you as the daughter of the president . Yes I would absolutely love to walk with you but I am not going to walk on streets finely paved Kathmandu streets nor I would like to walk with you to Hyatt for yoga seminar where rich people are there to shed some pounds gained from corrupt govt money. Rather I would like to walk with you to the rugged road of Dolkha or "dehaat" of the Spatari where people have no clue about your yoga but they are worried about how they are going to get the next warm meal?

What did Anu say? Why do so many of us have problems with what she says. All she is saying is lets get united both madesh and pahad and be Nepalis. what is wrong with that?
I think deep down we Nepali are racist and male chauvinist and the sad part is we don't even realize that we are being one because we have not seen the fairness while we were growing up. So we automatically react to based on the society that was 15-20 years ago, you know girls couldn't talk loud, laugh loud, would rather look down and walk away even if someone insulted her in the streets. Ok agreed, miss Anu is not the most talented and educated Nepali women, but she's definitely one of them who is coming forward to do something for the poor. If it was a white lady doing the same thing, we would be crying our tears and asking god to bless her. If it was a Nepali male doing it, we would be proud , but we can't seem to digest a Nepali women from medeshi origin to have an opinion of her own? Ok she's the daughter of ex president but should that stop her from what she is doing for the poor and under marginalized? Look deep down into your soul, forget the orthodox teaching you received form the society while you were growing up how girls should act and react, and how madeshis should behave in Nepal, then ask yourself are you being hypocrite? most of us are immigrants in the US or other countries.
