A women’s heart is as deep as ocean. No one knows how many ship wrecked stories it holds. No one can tell the depth of her heart; very few who were able reach the depth came back to the top with the only the carcass of shipwrecks she hid without even trying.
Noah, do you even know what I am talking about? I nudged him slightly, he simply glanced back at me with his sleepy eyes and went back to sleep. I then went on staring at the horizon where the sun was kissing the earth a last good bye with a promise he will come meet her again tomorrow. The sun’s heart bled red and orange and yellow for having to part from his beloved and his only true love. He cried, he bled and with a stabbing pain in his heart, he left the earth and disappeared with no traceable sign.
The earth, she was stunned, speechless, hopeless, and sorrowful stood her ground. She treasured the sun’s good bye and awaited him.
I stared back at Noah; he was blissfully unaware of the heart wrenching partition I had just witnessed. This made my nostrils flare up the hot air. I looked at him and randomly start babbling about what I had witnessed. I am not sure if he heard me or chose to ignore me. He was calm and content and looked peaceful. I just stared at him; I don’t know how much time had passed. He suddenly woke up laughing like he just had heard some silly joke. His laugh jolted me out of my trance.
He stood up, looked at me and said, “Silly you!” The sun never leaves the earth. He is just kissing her good bye here, but on the other side of the world; he is already holding her in his arms, making her warm and kissing her Hello. How can the sun ever leave the earth?
I was speechless, why could I not have thought of this before. His revelation about the sun and the earth hurt my ego. My brain quickly revolted a question, what about the moon then?
