Coz, in History, Democracy in Nepal has been like "Baadar no Haat ma Neelo Nariwol."... As long as the Netas don't realize...democracy is not a freedom to corrupt the system, and consider themselves above the law...nothing will change... We need stronger law...and all Netas should abide by it....If one is convicted of some mis-doing..should immediately resign until the issue is solved...and thereforth....Netas consider the Kursi as their personal property, and Nation's economy as their personal bank account...Unless and until such things happen.....Yet another democracy...yet another Poor Nepal...nothing will change !

. democracy never failed that it 'failed' is propaganda the pre-panchayat democracy was working just fine mahendra killed it, and after it was dead, he wrote the history books that proclaimed it didnt work. you read those history books and believed democracy failed the post-panchayat democracy was starting to work anti-corruption measures were starting to take effect. we were on the verge of massive social change. the maoist insurgency had finally brought to light the plight of the countryside and elitist folk were finally starting to realize that the nepal does extend beyond the valley hills. the democratic system never failed us the leaders failed us and my friends, if you cannot recognize the difference between the two, well, theres no convincing you and i should stop trying

Regressive forces + hierarchical cultural mentality + inept undemocratic leaders + illiterate citizens + income disparity + patronizing selfish neighbors + geopolitical strategic situation + rentier state + unreal expectations = failure of promise of democrtic system. It is not enough for political leaders to tout democracy when they do not understand it themselves. Democarcy is not multiparty political system. It goes much deeper than that. There was a time I used to hear democracy = Nepali Congress rule. What a joke?

Agree with Le-Chef on one thing, The Democratic System is not bad.....people who impelment the system are the real crooks.... But, I didn't see anti-corruption measures were being controlled....(Post 2046 era)..nor did Maoists change their demands...When one wants to rule by Guns and bullets....what can an ordinary Nepali do...???

The main failure of democracy in Nepal so many times is because ........... The country is always ruled by few big netas in circle. Younger generations hardly know about politics. We don't have to learn politics in our schools , unless thats ur major Most of the netas are less educated and more selfish

. I promise " Democracy will not fail this time" Because this movement is not the movement of Maoists, not of seven parties, and cyber people from Sajha. This movement belongs to people of nepal and is called " The people`s movement".

the citizens dont know how to properly use democracy, they cannot take right decisions, they are just idiots. They just wanna fight for nothing or maybe just because they hate the king and wanna satisfy themselves.

. Democracy failed Root causes.... (1) Heavy and vast National Crimes and Corruption (2) Nepali Government Officials and 7 Political parties Leaders, members are freely, openly and heavily doing national crimes and corruption which they manipulate and destroyed NATIONAL LAW AND ORDERS. (3) Racial Discrimination and suppression dalit, Indigenous people in Nepal (4) No capital punishment in Nepal. That means you can do National crime and corruption or you can kill anybody. To control heavy and national crime CAPITAL PUNISHMENT MUST BE REQUIRED IN NEPAL.
