I came USA in a B1 visa, applied for change of status and got approval of F1 visa last month.
I got admitted to college for August, 2006.
I am wondering to know that if I am eliglible to work or get SSN before August, 2006?
If anyone has any idea abt this, it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Yo Nepali

students(F1) are not eligible to work outside.
and you are not going to get SSN unless you get work on campus.
first get admission and try to get on campus work only then you can apply for SSN.
Contact your international advisor for more information.
