Hi guys/gals, I think my Sony TV has a mind of its own. I turn it on..and everything is ok for 10 mins or so. And then, the picture goes off but the sound is there..actually the sound gets a bit softer. So, I have to turn off the tv and turn it back on. Dhayrai gardha jheeyau laagdo bhaiyo. Thinking of getting a new tv, but this one is pretty good beside that problem so not really keen on buying a new one if the problem is minor. Anyone have any idea whats wrong with it? PLease save my TV!!! :( Thanx!

Xena i have the same problem....called up sony and they referred me to the service dept, those ppl told me that i needed to replace the picture tube and since my tv was pretty old (like 7 years old) they wouldn't make the pic tube for that model, so ur best option would be to go fix it at some cheap place or just get a new one. But as for fixing it at a cheap place it would only last you for like 2-3 months.

aay ho, big? Hmm..my tv is 10 years old..but still looks new. I guess its better to buy new tv than keep on replacing the tube. Thanx daddy, I will do that too :D
