There's not any nepali professor in any department. But, the engineering department is really good. Above all, it's cheap and affordable.

I haven't heard of any Nepali professor there either, you might have heard about teaching assistants to engineering professors. It is pretty affordable once you are eligible for instate tuition. Engineering department is pretty good. Louisiana Tech also just awarded the first bachelors degree in nanosystems engineering in the United States (if you're interested in nanosystems)..
Hope this helps...
But there are a lot of Nepali students there... and it is rumored that 60 more are coming from Nepal in the fall + many more transfers from other universities...
Do your research on whether the particular engineering degree you are looking for is any good at La Tech before transferring
Good luck!

it's a mediocre one. but then it's good enough to launch your career in a strong enough note. big names do help but not for lifelong. i say, if you don't have better options, go for it.
thapap,
TI, nortel and nokia for mechanical engineers? are you kidding me? :D.
