Hi Guys,

I got my H1B visa from an indian consulting company and still don't have a contract. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long does it take to get a job. I'm worried if not getting paid may affect my visa status. Is that possible???

It depends on which Technology  you are looking for a job. Also most of the time the marketing side of the consultancy plays a major role in determining how long you will have to wait. You should be able to get a job within 2 months(if you are taking any training and if you are smart enough), if not within 3-5 months at max. There are so many consultancy which can get you into an interview right after you are done with their so called 'training' stuff. Rest depends on you. If you are not getting any interview calls for a long time , you may want to check the job aspect of the technology that you have chosen and if its not good enough, you can think of going to other technology.
Good luck

Hello Shalini,

Just focus on interview questions related to your field and try to take an interview as much as possible even it is worthless. If you get many interviews you will know what are the interview questions are and at one time you will get the job. If you are not getting an interview you may need to add some fake US company experence as many indians chor are doing this. This indaians are so chor who never worked on that technology they put six years and how can people like us get the job from our real resume ;even we can't get interview.

Actually I feel so sorry for that people those who have real skill didn't get job due to H1B quota even company wants to hire;  This chor dhoti blocked the H1B visa who don't have skill just wastage of H1B quota.

Thanks
