hahaha insane people!!!! As if your mom is dying in hospital and you are desperate to garner funds for her surgery...a little bit of psycho-nationality.... Is it really worth it? Have you guys ever thought about the total amount people have spent voting for Prashant? Trust me, it will be more than what Sony gives to the winner-car, contract...n so forth...lol Sony is making a fool of everyone!!! And, you really think that at the end being an idol will make that much of a difference in life? Hell NO!!! So, people, control senses and act rational. Instead of spending millions of rupees on voting, use that to educate a poor child in Nepal. There are thousands of children who don't have the opportunity of attending school due to financial constraints. Jai Nepal!!!

Instead of voting and giving the money to Sony LTD. why not collect all the money and give it to prashant? it will be more than 10 million Rs, enough to buy a suzuki, even BMW in India, and also enough to send for an album. Think about it. 5000 votes per hour cost 15000 Rs per hour. It will be more than 20 million if ppl continueously votes for a week. Save your money for your Country ! PEACE

There is a saying "You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink." Same applies to most of the Nepalese showing pseudo-nationalism out here. How much money has been spent on him? And, you guys want to raise more and more...What will Nepal get at the end? He will probably sing a few Nepali songs-which he will whether he becomes an indian idol or not. Some moron hypothesized about my lack of knowledge about media influence. Do you think Prashant will really work for the benefit of Nepal? He is currently serving Indian army and we will probably continue to do so. If not, he will join the indian music industry. He might perform a concert in Ktm for the benefit of X NGO in Nepal. But, hey, is this all needed? Does he need to be an indian idol to help Nepalese-again considering he feels for fellow Nepalese. Be rational-as I said before. Stop spending millions of dollars on him. I wish we could help those millions of children in Nepal who can't go to school because they have to earn their living working day and night. Think about it...Don't be swayed by the "Vedo" mentality. On the other hand, do you guys really think Prashant is a better singer? While I love his voice and the fact that he is from a Nepali origin, I seriously think Amit is a better of the two when it comes to singing. Shouldn't one with better singing win the title? I am sure Prashant will feel bad winning the title because he knows Amit is a better singer. Anyway, it is no use sprinkling some drops of "rationality" on the stubborn...They will never learn.

Matter of National Pride, eh? Indian Idol has now become a matter of National Pride to us, ironic, isn't it? Yes, them flood victims don't need any help, they can't compete in Indian Idol; help Prashant. Pretty wise to replace the donation banner for flood victims w/ that of Prashant's Indian Idol cause. Hail Nepali Janta, living abroad, and their Nationalism! Ha!! Donate more for the National cause and show how much you love Nepal. Pathetic!!

I don't know how some people like here thinks that way. I don't see anything wrong supporting one Nepali to another Nepali origin. Why we think of "FAIDA" all the time? Why we expect so much from someone? bibas100 if you think Amit is good then vote for him. You can open a new thread in sajha in support of Amit. He also sings in Nepali. You are free to support anyone but it is better to open a new thread in his support.

National pride, who says? We are supporting because we need something to cheer up. We are supporting because we think prashant is a better singer. We are supporting because we watched indian idol and we saw that a guy named prashant who happened to be nepali speaking, is being continiously critisized and sidlined by the organisers. We are supporting Prashant because We also want to give out a clear message that no racism and no domination will be tolerated. out of many reasons, that we are supporting prashant, if you come up with some reasons that validate your thinking so be it. we support parshant!!! National pride, is a completely different issue, but one cannot deny the fact that this is also a message to all the good and hard working people in Nepal that if they do something good then Nepalese public throught the world is there to back them up. Cheers Prashant. Keep voting and donating.

Tehi ta Maisamali, Timley bhannyou abbo ma, for a NATIONAL CAUSE, dollar pathauchu. Prashant has given me a cause to be proud: Even Nepali-origin can reach the finals of Indian TV's reality show. If it was not of Prashant, I would never be proud of being Nepali. Prashant, the savior of Nepali pride. ha!

Bibas and others, Don’t pretend like you guys spend every saved penny on flood victims, or educating a child. What’s wrong with people donating few dollars to help Prashant win the title? It’s not your money they are using, it’s theirs. So stop bitching about it! If you think you care so much about children in Nepal, then why don’t you quit drinking, smoking or going to clubs/bars and instead donate that money for those causes. Tell me how many people quit all of the above things to help a kid study in Nepal. Hardly any! It’s very nice of people who do that but I can’t bitch to people who don’t do that. After all it’s their money; they should be able to spend the way they want to. Why can’t you just take—donating few bucks to Prashant—purely for an entertainment purpose? Just like some people wouldn’t mind paying $100 to watch an NBA game or a game in the US open, others do not mind spending few bucks on Prashant. What’s wrong with that?
