It's not just Terai, the entire country is impoverished, not just financially but more so mentally. Where would u kick the Madhesis out ? They didn't come in Terai yesterday. They have been living there for 100s of years. Come and do research and find for yourself.

I never supported a separate Madhesh state, but if self respect comes at this price, I would rather have a separate state.

What's the size of our country ? For a country this big can't we all have some sense of mutual respect . Can't we understand that with different geography, u find people who look different, behave different, dress different, and have a different culture. Asking for a separate state is a ridiculous demand because that doesn't support the real cause. But I know, My 200 generations will always struggle to prove that they are Nepali coz they look different than a typical proven Nepali (who can hail from Bhutan, Sikkim, Darzeeling and yet be a Nepali), and I will have to live with that.

Terai was not made by a whole bunch of people who migrated yesterday. In ancient times, there was a MITHILA PRADESH, which ranges from Janakpur to some inside area of Bihar. Then there was no Nepal and India. It was mithila Pradesh.Just the way we claim Buddha was born in Nepal, when he was born thousands of years ago, when Nepal as a country didn't exist. Similarly, JANAK was the king of Janakpur. MAITHALI language that u guys so much make fun of is actually another name of Goddess SITA, also called JANAKI, or MAITHALI. It's a culture that we have had for thousands of years. True people migrated across the border, but where that doesn't happen.

I am not in anyway feeling proud that Janakpur is a birthplace of Sita, I am actually embarassed by a whole bunch of human beings who live in NEpal. Just trying to explain why we have different culture, because we inherit from our history. CHAT parva, is a part of it, We have a language that is Maithali, mit's not an Indian language, its a regional language that was spoken in the state of Mithila.

First of all let's have something that's called sense.

When Maoists killed so many people for the reasons that they know best, when they would have Indefinite (Anischitkalin Bandha) Strike for weeks and for months in hilly areas, can someone say because prachanda was a DAHAL and Baburam was a BHATTARAI means all DAHAL's and BHATTARAI's are responsible for that.

Here, generalizing even wider, when pahade maoists did all that and no pahade could speak a word because they had weapons, can we say all Pahade's supported the killings? Similarly when Madhesi maoists did that can we say all Madhesis were responsible ? It's a group of people, if u count will be less than 100. Not the entire population whic if u count is in millions. Can u hold the millions responsible for what 100 out of them did ?

When Jwala Singh and co does all this, he is a group, operating by whatever support he has, and its not the entire population of Terai that is doing that? and if u say why Madhesis don't oppose that? Well when Maoists were declared terrorists by state, how many of genuine (no need to be proven) Nepalese people went ahead and protested that in open?? The general public is scared bcoz they have family, kids to take care of.

Don't think who;e Madhesi population wants a separate state, or they support criminals. But for that if the solution is to marginalize them and kick them out, well go ahead. I have nothing to say.

Prabaht K, just read what i said. That video would have been appropriate if we replace madise by Indians in that video.We should kick indians out. Although I admire Twake's brilliance in creating cartoons but now the time has come to really decipher between madhise and Indians. Madesh is not only of madehsi...several pahadiya people also live there. And this madhise neta like Upendra Yadav should be kicked out as well , he is the one who is brainwashing.

 I remember once he said on Image news that  " for me Hindi language is very dear one, if you love Nepali I don't care, I don't like Nepali .....I will continue speaking hindi"

When a govt. is not run by national interest, when a govt knows only one way of changing things- by removing Royal family's name from everything, be it RNAC, TIA, TU, or by removing their statues and may be by renaming Nepal Switzerland one day to make a point that they made Nepal Switzerland- when a govt. has no time to think of real issues, these things are bound to happen.

A country is run by govt, they have the authority and hence they are accountable. We should ask our honorable PM, President, home minister and etc as what they have done and what they plan to do one thing that improves the standard of life of common people? What have they done to improve peace and security? But guess what they know the answer. They know if they keep engaging us in stupid issues they can always be in power.

I want to see a progressive generation from Nepal which can rise above these non issues and think of how to improve the economy. But the hope is dwindling everyday.

When I grew up, my closest friends were (and are till date) Shrestha, Rijal, Chaudhary, Chettri, Das..all born and bred there. All speaking fluent Maithali and Nepali. I dream of those days if it will ever happen. Criminals are threatening people everyday, extortion is rampant, kidnappings and killings is the name of the game.

I have read your posts. You sound sensible. I am 100% up for the unification. Nepal is embroiled in difficult situation ranging from economy to political of which the latter is the worst. Since last 5-6 decades, we saw several parties come and go and none did anything to strenghten Nepal crumbling situation, only thing they did was to hoard wealth for themselves. I cannot even single out a politician who actually did something but I have seen several common individuals who at least attempted to achieve something. For example - Mahavir Pun and a guy (forgot his name) who brought some funds to build new facilities such as Botany, Computer Science and environmental sci. depts in TU. I know there are lots of people who wants to see better Nepal. However, our very system is corrupted and our mentality is laden with ill feelings towards anyone who wants to do something.

u are tottaly correct about mithila pradesh. but who is asking for seperate madesh? not the indigenous tribes of our plains but who entered Nepal taking advantage of porous border. Tharus are against it. u said groups such as JTTM is responsible for terai upheavals. if u think the entire madhesis don't want separate and jsut want to live in harmony with the rest of Nepal, why don't they raise voice against these groups? look at baban singh, he is killer and is at large. what do u have to say about this guy? these so called terai groups targeted pahades during their so called madhes movement and killed more than 100. many pahades sold their land in the plains and took refuge in the uphills. if u think, madhesis want a hindi language as their official method of communication, where do u see the nepalipan?

prabhat ji, there are 1000s of questions that i can post here regarding this issue but in short, all i want is the following -

1. nepal have undertood and took into consideration of madhes demands. but madhesis (especially immigrants from UP) want more - it is like u give a finger and u want the whole hand. they have to stop this attitude.

2. i want a unified nepal with diverse culture and ethnics living in harmony. no party can achieve this unless our entire population understand the true meaning of democracy and for this we need education.

3. there are lot things i have in mind to propose but for the time being, the madhesis and everyone should sit tight and see what happens. don't obstruct any process with riots and closing down schools, highways etc. sick of it.

What rajendra mahato said makes perfect sense, these morons don't have any ideology they are the main traitors and most angerous people,so called madhesi leaders.They don't represent madhesi people rather they rerpresent bihari ideology and indian conspiracy.They will be swept away once people learn this and we get stable government.

If he keeps on demanding that way madhesi people themselves will behead him as that will bring more bloodshed and violence that will take madhesis to hell.

Hey people grow up. All so called 'Pahade' who are vomiting nonsence against madesi here and trying to lebel them as indian are the ones who have never seen the whole picture of NEPAL. These are the people for whom Nepal is just the KTM valley. Most of them have never been outside of that part of Nepal. I'm being myself a pahadi origing but having born/lived in Terai I can very well understand the sentiment of Madesi origin people. I'm 100% with Prabhat k for what he said "as a citizen me and my children will never have self respect ever." And this is all due to those pahades who have never seen the whole nepal.
