Please enlighten me. Who is ignoring your identity? Identity doesn't come by dividing a country. In the name of human rights, would you classify US as black state, white state, yellow state?
What is it going to do by naming bagmati Newa state? If you think Limbus will prosper by asserting the name Limbuwan state, then I ask you to be real. This will do nothing but help your leaders propaganda and cause tension.

@sujhab, bittertruth: Kiddo: It's always nice even in winter when you live inside the heated room but if you go outside, the reality is out there to see. Labeling all  indigeneous people as Nepali haven't and will not do anything to all the indigeneous groups of Nepal until equal opportunity is given to all the people of Nepal. How many government posts and other educational posts are taken by adhibasish and janjati although they remain majority in Nepal. Don't give me the damn literacy factor here. I've seen some janjati with masters to go to overseas to do labor jobs because of lack of opportunity in Nepal. If you look at the situation in Nepal wearing the minority cap in rural villages, the truth is transparent and racism is rampant. Why do you think that all the gurungs/magars go to overseas for labor jobs although they are educated? Because they don't get the opportunity like other majority caste like bahun/cheetri/newar. Look at an example of Dharan or pokhara where majority of people are gurungs/rai/limbhu but the government posts are all taken by the brahmin/cheetris/newar etc.  When you see some indian looking person selling bottles, why do you(us) make fun of him as bhaiya although he is madhesi. How discriminated he might have felt when we label him as indians although he was born here? It looks very good when you look on your perspective but you have to think from other perspective as well.

When something goes here in US against minority, you(Us) are the first one to speak against racism although we don't have any rights to speak in US as being immigrants but we try to ignore the rights of fellow minority citizens of our country.

My point here is not to divide the country based on ethnic caste or religion but to integrate us with the equal opporunity law act irrespective of race, religion, gender and age like here in US. Therefore the government should come with the equal opportunity law act instead of dividing the country based on ethnic caste and religion.

Mr. Nepal99. I recognise you as Nepali. What else you want to be recognised? Please come with your cast which you want to be recognised as. In this world all recognised cast dont have state of their own. Looks like you want unstability in country. thats why you emerged from somewhere and start posting  negative things in sajha.

They dont have state of their own in US. Those amerikan janjaati who are recognised, live in reserves in US.
And first of all, why are you not in Nepal? If you really want to be recognised  as something else, go Nepal and fight like a brave dont stay abroad and cry like a baby.

That international treaty about Janjaati is ratified only by 22 countries of the world. For youR recognition you dont need international treaty. If you are running after false identity you will never be satisfied.
as you are in abroad why dont you ask the government of the country where you are living recognise  your cast. what happens afterwards lets us know in sajha.

Logic like yours is what's behind all these racial tension. This blame mentality will push us back another hundred years.
You are quick to point out the racial discrimination but what's the logic behind the division....there's no connection. You say labeling indigenous as Nepali won't do anything for them. So you expect creating Newa and Limbuwan raja will raise their status? Give me one example in history, any where in the world, where this kind of division has worked. Look at North Ireland or any Muslim country with sect division and I give you how this could be dangerous.
If you want to claim your state based upon your majority, I will claim Nepal as Bahun-Chhetri State of Nepal, they are after all the overall majority.
Stop...just stop this talks of division for our future sake. Division has never and will never help a nation.

Yes there is inequality in Nepal. But show me where on this earth there is  racial equality. In present day Nepal Y say from (1960, before that it was different Nepal) there is no law which discriminates between races or religion. Requirement of Nepali language is not a discrimination. In US if you dont know english language you can not get govt job and any other reputed job. Same is true in japan china, Russia, germany France. Tell me how many ppl live in US who have mother toungue different thyan english ? Do ppl who have poor english can get govt job in US? 

The inequality in Nepal is not because of religion,race or cast.It is because of traditional job distribution pattern. It just happend that the guy who reunited modern day nepal happen to speak certain language. This happend in US too, where before ppl use to speak sort of american indian language, Then  Spanish was major language, till 1980 majority of white ppl had  german ancestory. It just happend that group of ppl speaking english lead the war, revolution and hence emglish was established as a major means of communication among ppl. Till 1960 in US too  there was a debate whather to  consider different language (german) as second language, but that didnt happend. now english established itself as  only language not only in US but in entire world.


France tried hard to push French as second world language but emergence of internet killed that too. Now if we have Nwpali mentality we may call it english hagemony, but I dont hink so.
If you read the history of the world society esablish itself in one way or the other. Now in Nepal we are trying to revese the flow of the society. So the requirement of Nepali language is not a discrimination.
Reagrding your point educated Nepali janajaati working abroad as cheap labour. my friend do you have any evidence to proove that? if you check the statisdtics you will be surprise to know that there are more so called " upper class" are working as labor abroad.

lots of ppl in nepal the so called " jana andolan" was mainly faught by janajatis. That is also false my friend, equal number of so called "khas" have faught from govt side as well as from maoist side. If you check cast of maoist  fighter you will know it. There were more  so called " khas" commander in maoist  force than janajaati combined..
And if you count the number of "sahid" from maoist  about 40% of the sahid are from "khas"

so called "khas" leaders are fighting for equality, So called "khas" are leading the revolution, so called "khas" dead  in janaandolan . But in media it is portrayed that it was janajaati who fought the war.

Now dont ask me where I got the data? if you are a serious debater you will find all these data in media. list of maoist warrier from Un, list opf maoist commander leader. and list of people killed and disappeared during the war. it is all there in black and white. find it yourself.

Then ppl put forward very stange argument that, combined number of janajaati is higher than the number of khas, that is true. But in US, number of all non white combind is almost equal to white. But what is the share of non whites in US politics?

It is equivqlent of saying number of votes by amale, kangrs and other minor parties are greater than maoist so maoist is not a major party in nepal. similarly in India combined number of votes  Indian minority parties got is more than the vote the Indian kangress aprty got. Does that means other minor parties should run the govt instead the major party.

In yr 2000 popular vot for Al Gore was more than that of Bush, but Bush became president isnt it.
Again those janajaati when come to us, they learn english work hard and many are able to get good job but in Nepal they speak of foul play. This also prves that language is not a barrier for them

If you want to blame for inequality then blame the trditional job distribution, cast system ( which we were not supposed to follow ) and ther is cast system in janajaati too. they also discriminates against lower class among themselves.


blaming  so called khas is just a lame excuse. we need to change our law which will provide more oppertunity to ppl those ppl ( need not be janajatis only , they could be bahun, chhetris and janajatis as wel)

@kiddo & ____:  I guess, you didn't get my point here. I'm against division of the country based on race, caste, religion or whatsoever. What i am saying is the need for the equal opportunity law act among all the nepalese. I'll give you the current and very good example which you'll analyze yourself.  Let's take an example of U.S where we have labeled americans as asian american, african-americans, hispanic and caucasian. Why they can't just label all people born here as americans because of their different appearance and race they come from. Labeling them as asian americans or african-american gives them their identity as americans and because of the equal opportunity law act, they have every rights as other americans.

Now coming to the point, what i am saying, we were lucky to be born in cities where we didn't face any racism or discrimination but if you look in rural villages, racism is transparent. I just went to naraynghat last december and saw how madhesis were treated there by other people despite their majority. So my friend, i'm not asking division of country but the law that represents and gives equal opportunity to all the people of Nepal.

P.S, i am against maoists just like you are. They have totally transformed the country to 4th world country.

Meanwhile, I agree with giving equal rights and opportunities to all the persons based on castes, genders, race etc or to minorities. But choosing the state on the name of caste system, it is not possible in this globalized world. We are going freak

@sirus i am neither taking anyone's identity nor refusing to give anyone preferance. What i am saying is any person should be able to get any job, scholarships and any other facilities without even saying their last name or ethnicity. If you want to tell me there are poor communities who needs help and other blah blah blah... Let their own ethnical organization empower them with education, it won't happen overnight but it will bring the equality. My parents never asked me which caste did my friends belonged to when i brought them home or when i went theirs. For me, caste do not matter but i do respect all identity. All I am saying is void ethnicities and caste from the state structure, that will bring equality. If you support one over other or make alliance of castes and ethnicities, it will bring chaos. Bigger dog will always try to take everything.
