Why is there so much hatred against the King? Well, many are still wondering the "hatred against the King". Why? and for what reason? Is it just because he is the King and often a soft target? How could people demonize the King without a rational theory? I suppose, many are angry for the killing of 21 people in the streets. I personally think that "state" is above everything. To act as a realist and for the safety of the state itself, many governments around the world use force to curtial violence. It is imortant that state needs to protect its existence. We cannot blame the King or the State for killing of 22 people in the streets of Kathmandu or other parts of the country. How about Moaists killing of thousands? Many ignore the fact that Maoists with the help of their guillera illeterate army have killed thousands? Where is the justice? How could they be in parliament with so many innocent blood in their hand. Democracy does not work in this manner. Targeting King does not solve o give solution to existing problems in Nepal.

I am starting to like this guy. He does make a lot of sense. Talks the language of the people and not of some text book.

let me break it down for you chakku, 1. jaymetha starts this thread at 3.48 pm The time you read is when the thread is posted. 2. you seem to have read it straight away Reading: about 10 sec per line so about 70 secs. 3. and manage to assimilate the info and drop your comments Manage and assimilate: I can do that while reading the comments. Drop my comments another 20 secs (from hitting reply to writing out a sentence) 4. all that within 2 minutes at 3.50 pm Then I went to the bathroom and took a dump for about 30 secs and hit submit. I need to go wipe my ass now. So you got your answer

i've a weired feeling there're several royalist clones spread around in sajha... sometimes i think there're only 4 people giving gyane supporters number in sajha at 7, hence the paranoia

Chakku, No problem at all. Personally I dont think there is any harm in being a royalist. I dont think theres any harm being anti royalist. Whatever it is, its just so good to see the passion associated with such kinship. Lately, I have witnessed (at least in the threads of sajha) that it has almost become "cool" to hate authority. Be it the King, or the PM or the leaders. I have no problems with that, but if you are going to defend someone, be passionate about it and put your whole effort into it. Not go with what your best uncle told you in one of his emails and you are just doing an half ass job in playing his prodigy. And more important, this ideology of "if I can show my opponent is more feeble than me, I am by default strong" should be discouraged. Showing the King is inept does NOT automatically mean that the leaders are capable and vice versa. I really think anyone who spends about a week's worth of time can have a decent influence from the amount of information that exists in sajha.com. I think its very dangerous to have off balanced store of information. There are certain people who try and restore that balance and I think these people should be at least heard. Its very easy to be a part of a crowd and speak the same language. The challenge is to speak against the crowd and win some respect. Thats all and before I rant on...

JayMehta , You forget ,Even Girija, suppressed andolan of commies(uml) killed many people at that time.It is not king who gave birth to maoist. The king later became their agenda. They had 9 sits in first parliamentry election .But Girija and then powerful leaders ignored maosit. Then they went to jungle. So, now the king is an easy taget.I have always stated this what king did was wrong but his intention was good .Infact many people in nepal were frustarted by these netas. But king could not live upto expectation. Now he is alienated and is alone. I think we should forgive king as we have forgiven all Netas. We are very compansionate nepali with very short memory.Girija chor desh chod and ganye chor desh chod is very light and east thing to take nowadays in Nepal. So,Since the king's intention was good but did the opposite . we should forgive and forget. And not join hands with anti- nepal commies.

ImI how can you say the King did the opposite? Can you name anyone in King's cabinet who did corruption? There were all there just to straighten out things. The King had strictly told then that they were not to be involved in any kind of corruption. The King always asked the party people( if you heard his speech) in every speech to come foreward to talk with him for the sake of the nation. It was them who never went. I know Sher Bdr and Prakash Man Singh were involved in Melamchi scandal, because I know the sachiv named Dinesh Chandra Pyakurel who was the head of that. I think the King knew about all the intricate details of the corruption going on there. As soon as the King took over Pykurel was taken out of there and he was kept as jageda sachiv or beena bivagia sachiv and then later when the Royal Commission started the investigation and Sher Bdr and Prakash Man Singh were taken into custody - Dinesh Chandra Pyakurel committed suicide. Reports say he took 10 crores in that. But I feel because he was from a fairly good background - may be he was ashamed of the corruption he did. His father was a GM and educated guy in NBL or Rashtra Bank. You know if people from no background do the same thing , they will have no guilt but this guy I feel had guilt and beizzati of his family name may be... Whatever the King did was not bad so why do you talk of forgiving him????

The Royal Commission the King had may be unconstitutional but you know what? There were 5 judges who declared it unconstitutional. And, reports in KTM say that Moriyarty gave each of them 1 crore and 3 out of that 5 came on a luxury trip to USA the next day, the trip they say was organized by the US govt. There is a definite role of USA and India in bringing down the King. They have some vested interest which will be evident soon.
