Source: http://insn.org/?p=2310 Crown prince Paras vandalized police headquarters, beat up three police IGPs INSN, Kathmandu/Delhi, December 3, 2005. According to very reliable sources in Kathmandu, Crown Prince Paras Shah vandalized Nepal Police headquarters at Naxal, Kathmandu and beat up three Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs) this afternoon. He reportedly accused them of not being able to provide security to him yesterday as he was on his way to the airport to receive his father Gyanendra who returned from a lengthy visit to Africa. Violence erupted yesterday afternoon in Kathmandu after a group of pro-monarchy vigilantes attacked demonstrators at New Baneshwor who were particpating in a mammoth yet peaceful pro-democracy demonstration organized by the Communist Party of Nepal (UML). The enraged demostrators retaliated by pelting stones at the royalist vigilantes. The police used force against the pro-democracy activist while providing security to the royalist vigilantes. The angry demonstrators also pelted stones at the security convoy that passed through the road while the clash was taking place, to receive the royal couple at the international airport. Paras Shah was also on his way to receive the royal couple, protected by the security convoy. Paras reportedly went to the police headqaurters around noon today, banged his car on the main gate, enteterd into the compound, called up the IGP of the Janpath Nepal Police Shyam Bhakta Thapa at his own office, broke chairs, and slapped him on his face several times. He then reportedly ordered the IGPs of the Armed Police Force and the National Investigation Department to report themselves imemdiately Nepal Police headquarters, lined them up, shouted at them and slapped all of them on their face and kicked them several times. Reportedly, he did this in full view of other police officers and personnel. He was reportedly, repeatedly asking them, ?What if the stones had hit me? I could have died. Why did you not provide security?? Paras also reportedly assaulted a Colonel of the Roayl Nepal Army, in charge of the security convoy yesterday. The three police IGPs have reportedly complained about the insulting behaviour of the prince to the king, but have not made public the details of the incident. Several major media houses in Kathmandu have reportedly confirmed with the police sources about the incident. But fearing action by the royals, they have not carried the news yet, at the time of writing this report (7:30 pm). Some human rights activists and journalists in Kathmandu expressed the fear with INSN that a few dozen civilians arrested by the police after the incident yesterady may be tortured or even disappeared. Immediately after the incident, the police randomly arrested people from the surrounding area, accusing them of engaging in violence. The government has not made public the list of the people arrested, let alone their whereabouts as yet. It is publicly known in Nepal that prince Paras has murdered and asslauted people several times in the past, before he became the Crown Prince, and has assualted journalists and businessmen after becoming the Crown Prince.

It looks like someone is working on fund raising to help the movement like producing that kind of video for everyone to see. FYI below. An email I received today. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: paramendra Date: Sat, 03 Dec 2005 11:38:08 -0800 Subject: Have You Contributed Your $100 Yet? Your Country Needs You Now Contribute: http://www.geocities.com/paramendra/nepal1000.html Money is needed urgently. This movement is really going to take off from December 10, big time. Nepal will be hitting the world headlines. This regime will fall before February. Money is needed. Why? (1) To video blog the movement to the max. To maintain exposure. To reduce chances of extreme forms of repression. To give the seven party leaders the option to communicate with the world community and the Nepali diaspora directly. To have the diaspora engage those leaders in question answer sessions. (2) To fund first aid for all who get hurt in clashes with the police. For medical expenses. (3) We have to raise the stakes for any potential military crackdown. We do that by keepig a ready fund such that should there be a military crackdown, we would be willing to hire lawyers who will do the basic work to take the king and the army top brass to the Hague. The threat has to be maintained so it does not have to be used. We need money to create the threat. (4) From December 10, the movement is to be continuous. That is a lot of logistics. And we need to help. If you were in Kathmandu, would you get out into the streets? If you would, well, you are not in Kathmandu, so do the next best thing: contribute and help raise money, pass the word. All your contacts are barely an email or a phone call away. Contribute: http://www.geocities.com/paramendra/nepal1000.html This regime has to fall by February. This regime showed us February 1. We should not return the favor. This regime should not see February 1. This appeal is urgent. Contribute: http://www.geocities.com/paramendra/nepal1000.html I believe this is a very democratic organizational structure I have proposed. (1) There is no barrier to entry for any Nepali or friend of Nepal. (2) The efficiency is enhanced because all the stuff can happen online. (3) A Donor can hope to become a Leader or a Senior Leader based on performance. It is a bottom up promotion process. (4) All book-keeping stays transparent. (5) All Donors can contribute to the discussions. All Senior Leaders make the final decisions, preferably based on consensus. (6) This is a way to put your money where your mouth is. The movement needs help. (7) The regime has to be brought down by February. You do that through the concept of a continuous movement. And you make it possible by providing logistical support to the max. (8) Donors have the option to stay anonymous, if they might so choose. So, what is holding you back? It is not possible anyone on this list who is in the US can not afford the $100. Donate and/or speak up.

Even if police have done bad deeds, they didn't get punish for that. They got slapped for not giving security to Mr. paras. A man got injured by speeding vehicle. Noone cares about that. When will we come to real sense, and see the real situation without our preconditionings?

refer to the source before you are getting to the conclusion. look at the history of the stories they have published. At this time you guys should worry about the agreement that parties made with the murderers.

Food denied for the arrested in Paras's car stoning incident In a shocking incident, police denied food and water to about 20 people, including five students of VS Niketan School, arrested Friday afternoon on charges of stoning the vehicles of the king and the crown prince. The police did not even inform the families of their detention. The arrested students were located by their parents Saturday afternoon after visiting several police stations. "Since his mobile was cut off and he did not return home Friday night, we started searching for my son," said Hari Thapaliya, father of detained Nava Raj Thapaliya. There are 13 persons including a 12-year old boy being kept in a dark room at Tinkune police post without food and water. Others in detention include Raj Kumar Bhandari (Ramechhap), Rabindra Karki (Bha-ktapur), Suman Bhetwal (Dallu), Surya Prakash Bhatta (Buddha-nagar) and Rajendra Kafle (Gothatar). Also in detention are Yuba Raj Rai (Minbh-awan), Padam Bahadur Magar (Minbhawan), Raj Kumar Shrestha (Dha-ding), Binay Aryal (Shank-hamool), Shankar Thing (Minbhawan), Ram Hari Neupane (Nuwakot) and Bidir Karki (Tehrathum). Most of them are college students. Police also arrested five students of VS Niketan School, including Subash Lama, from the street near the school. The students are supposed to sit for school exams from Sunday. Navaraj Parajuli, a former people's representative from Koteshwor, alleged that a police official lied to him saying all the detainees were given food, but an assistant sub-inspector said they were given nothing as "they were arrested at 2 in the morning". Parajuli took food for 13 detainees from a nearby office canteen Saturday evening. The detainees also complained that police beat them up and forced them to admit pelting stones at the VVIP vehicles after a CPN-UML rally dispersed Friday afternoon. DSP Ganesh KC said that the police are probing into their involvement in stoning the motorcade and said those found innocent will be released on Sunday.

Public is being treated like animals. Arrested are treated even worse than terrorists do to hostages, at least they provide food and medication.

But Nepalese Crooks are having double benefit form country situation. All Nepalese corrupted, criminal and crooks are raising their voices and doing underground free political organize crimes in the name of Democracy, Peace, Freedom and Human Rights. These Nepalese criminals are looking SAFE HEAVEN and PROTECTE their Life as well as unlawful properties in Nepal. King did not do corruption, crimes, war and did not make country un-stable. All these bad things happen, the root reason of Government and Political parties corrupted criminals. These crooks are doing same things like in the time of Panchayat Regimes. Because lack of quality education in majority Nepali population, Nepalese political crooks having monopoly to govern Nepal. History is repeating again and again. BE AWARE OF THIS CRIMES AND MISTAKES. To Houston, Dude.... I do not think so. Trust Me. I know Prince Paras is not good for Nepal or Nepalese. He acts crazy and stupid. I think that he can not become King of Nepal. Prince Paras is a weak point of Monarchy. But we must not blame to King for everything. It is not wise and fare.

Houston, At least some are patriotic by heart and brain or just words. Is it possible to be free without being under some rules and law? It is certainly good to be the sycophant of these. We need freedom, the freedom from hunger and lack of other basic needs, above all the freedom of speech, the speech which symbolises true law and order and discipline. Strengthen the court and the followers or the keepers. This makes a lot of sense. And it is a freedom of speech. Saral
