No doubt this world cup will be remembered for wrong reasons. Nobody knows what Materazzi told Zidane that provoked such a great player to act in such a shameful manner. But people are suspectiing that materrazi said something nasty about Zidane's mother. Some say Materazzi called Zidane "a dirty terrorist". Italian football have been long marred with racism from some players, fans and some officials. lets hope truth comes out in this case. People are expecting that Zidane will speak about this some time next week. lets hope all these mysteries will be solved soon... read http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/france/5164094.stm

Again... Bottomline: Italy won...and they are the champions...you gotta accept Italy played well throughout the tournament ......Hats off to the French team...They did pretty good after the lacklustre performance in group stage matches...So..Congratulation to the Italian team and for France..wat can I say...keep up your spirit..there's alwayz a second chance... Cheers!

french were playing better than italy for sure, even with 10 people after zidane left, they played awesome, i couldnt believe how prepared and excellent they were playing! no offense to italian players, they were good but frenchies were best.

No wonder Zidane reacted thay way when Matarazzi called him dirty terrorist. I wished Al-Qeda would bomb Rome and Matarazzi home.

haha french supporter are lossers.they are usning matarazzi as an excuse but all knows he was real winner yesterday. he was the one who scroed goal, who constatly threatened the goal by heading, he was the one who influenced for giving red card to zidane, he scored goal in penalty. zidane or matarazzi who came out winner yesterday . and see who has the egg on the face. no team could score goal against italy properly during the play it is a proven fact in this world cup. if france cant score they dont deserve to win. italy has been winning with their defensive prodigy for years. time and again we have seen opposition dominating but still italy coming out winners. whatever matarazzi said what zidane did was most disgusting thing i have seen in football pitch. verbal abuse are common in football but zidane was clearly frustrated by italian defence more than anybody else. get a life french supporter . i have never seen bigger whinner then french supporters in sajha.

Materazzi clearly said something "very serious" to Zidane. We won't know until Zidane speaks out but we can all see how serious it could have been for Zidane in his final game and in World Cup final to head butt like that, to disgrace himself in front of millions of fan watching the game all over the world. What caused the talisman of French football to commit such act? Does this explain something : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpG4AHlZrL4&search=materazzi
