Initially, when 'becoming a fan' concept started in Facebook and I saw people
becoming their own 'fan', I was not very keen on doing something like
that for sajha.com ie. asking people to become a fan, because I felt as
though there was an element of narcissism looming in the whole act.

Fast
forward a year or so, and it is becoming evident that Facebook is
increasingly becoming an important part of everyone's lives and it
holds a lot of potential to spread information. Even in recent days
during the 'indefinite bandas', facebook became a tool for bringing
together various individuals through their consent or dissent of
different aspect of the bandas and life in Nepal. It was amazing how
many Facebook groups about Nepal sprouted within a few days timeframe -
all of which were formed by individuals who were concerned about the
common Nepali person's right to work for a living without political
agendas coming in between his/her right to feed him/her self and family.

With
this in mind, I wanted to start a sajha fan page in Facebook to bring
together all concerned individuals who feel feel a sajha love towards
Nepal, and feel that the common Nepali has been affected very badly
amidst the political battle for supremacy/power. The village Nepali has
been affected negatively and similarly the common Nepali living in the
city has also been affected negatively. The sajha fan page is about
concerned Nepalis who have a vision of a better Nepal. Who support
politics that protects the common right of Nepalis and Nepal by not
calling forceful Nepal bandas using coercion and force.

Every
political group aspiring for governance needs to show common respect
and courtesy to their common citizens. If any political group does not
seem to have respect for the common citizen, how can we expect them to
fairly govern the people they are supposed to; provide the people with
opportunity they deserve; implement infrastructure for education and further development?

The
sajha facebook group is not about people who are against any one
particular political group. It's about people who support the basic
rights for the common sajha people of Nepal.

Please join the
sajha.com page in facebook. Become part of the concerned group by
'like'ing the page. If nothing else, it will be a social experiment in
finding out how many of us are out there who have genuine democratic
aspirations for Nepal where politically driven extortion, threat,
coercion, force and lies towards a common citizen is not supported.

Ha!Ha! Mr San, you sound SO YESTERDAY and  I find your behavior very ego-centric. All you have to do is to request us to join sajha.com fan page on Facebook; and, no doubt, we would join it. END OF THE STORY. Why Kura Ghumayara, desh ko current halat batayara, HAMI LAI ULUUU BANAYARA,   requesting us to join Facebook.

After someone posted a thread saying that mysansar has plenty of fan on Facebook than Sajha, you waited no time and started a thread requesting Sajha users to join Sajha.com fan page on Facebook. DUHHH!!!

SIS, its all about marketing and publicity. SAN didn't open sajha to do social service!! He needs visitor, members, ads and money too.

Facebook is only one fastest and best growing internet networking site, where we can find many stupid and usless groups , than why not sajha (as is it one of best sites for people like us). I am really happy to get it on sajha.

Sajha squabbles are comparable with sibling squabbles. Even siblings have differences and they may have quarrels and fights but when it's time to unite for a family activity they will come together. Similarly everyone in sajha comes with their own unique backgrounds, beliefs and aspirations and it is natural that many things may not be agreeable to everyone due to everyone's uniqueness. BUT, there is one subtle thing that ties us all together, and that is we are all Nepalis who love and care for Nepal and Nepalis.

People may make their own personal interpretation of things because of their own preconceived notions or beliefs, which may or may not be agreeable to everyone and that is precisely why people are free to express their own personal opinions in sajha.

Speaking of personal interpretations, let's take the history behind sajha. Sajha was NOT started with any commercial objectives. In fact sajha WAS started as a public service site to provide a common grounds to discuss issues and ideas related to Nepal and Nepalis. It was only later that commercial interests were injected into the site by the sheer economics of demand and supply. It was only after commercial entities showed interest in promoting their products/services, that sajha entered a sort of passive commercial phase. Although commercial interests of other entities are provided exposure within sajha, the core aim of service to the public has not changed in all these years.

As far as the sajha page in facebook, it does not benefit sajha in any way, shape or form. That is exactly the reason why sajha never opened an official sajha page. I have already outlined the reason for opening the page in my first post in this thread. Simply restated, sajha facebook page has potential of being able to be a sort of common Nepali platform in facebook for people who have democratic aspiration for Nepal and it could serve as a communication medium in times of political disturbances, instead of having to rely on individual pages that sprout up during such times. Again, in the spirit of sajha discussions, you have every right to question or analyze every possible scenarios!

Competition has never been a goal of sajha, it's always gone with the flow taking suggestions from users, to try to make the best out of what is available, with respect for individual opinions and ideas. It is fun to watch the sajha bus go with the flow of its members thoughts and ideas.

Let's keep it rolling...

Only valid objection for not joining facebook and sajha is because of privacy concerns.
It only costs few minutes to do that. You can do that by reading the next two lines.

If you want to be private, create a
facebbok other than your sajha name and add.
People who want to add to their
existing facebook, simply do that.

This thread has been long and many people have replied/viewed it,so its is a
good thread numberwise. It takes more time to read mostly shitty and few positive
shouting here, than to create or add facebook crap to it .
 I have
couple deactivated/unused free facebook and i will open new one
different than sajha and add friend or whatever shit they call it.
If you think multiple facebook is not right thing to do then you can
deactivate it later.
I think atleast some numbers of people go
up in sajha facebook union.
More people can view this thread as of
now there and it will be more accessible to new visitors.
Only important thing to me is that through
facebook it will be easy to connect on sajha when somebody needs help or
shit like that.

Most posts here are unspecific of the topic and based upon the discussion limited by ideology or whatever shitt that makes each
other correctly superior, using free unit time.

great.Everybody is great because eyerybody can serve." Martin Luther King
