Hi!
I have just moved to West Virginia, that land of mountains in the
United States of America. It looks like I am in Nepal. The lakes
and moutains around me, feel like I am in my own homeland.
Last one year, I enjoyed the beauty of Virginia. I was in
Virginia Tech (http://www.vt.edu) as Visiting PT Faculty/Scholar.
That was wonderful indeed to be within the large crowd of
students in the middle of the campus: the drill field. It reminded me
the Roorkee University campus in Roorkee, now IIT, Roorkee.
I am really indebted to the Nepali Faculty in VT and student
community who made my first year of US stay wonderful
and nice and memorable in various aspects. It was like
a virgin, touch for the first time feeling.
I could see the southern US, southern Accent and southern
weather. As early as I crossed the New River Valley and
entered into West Virginia, I find it some other feeling
a bit different from what I saw in Virginia.
Now, here in WV, I am willing to extend my network of
friendship with fellow Nepalis especially those in WV.
So that we can meet regularly and exchange information
and sukh-dukh ka kura to info on Nepal. We can explore
what we can do while we are in WV to Nepal and Nepalis
in WV and in Nepal. If there are some organization like
society or association in WV, please let me know. I am
interested to be part of it.
Rest later.
