After the election, one of the most quiet person is Girija Prasad Koirala. As we all know, he had an extreme hatred towards the communists all his life. But when he was betrayed by the monarchy again and again, he decided to join with Maoists and other communists to make a 'New Nepal'. On the other hand, it also looks like Prachanda was much smarter than Girija to use him as a pawn to get to his destination (Do you remember "Dhadh ma tekera tauko ma hanne" policy).
Anyway, what do you guys think about Girija? Is he a selfless hero of Nepal who gave up his own ego to ally with Maoists to make the country a republic or is he the blunder mistake of the 21st century, where he just took the power from the king and gave it to the Maoists?
Please give your opinions. Thanks.

Not sure what to tell. It seems he is a bit smart too as I just found out that instead of running for Election , his name is on Top of Congress Indirect List. But then if he was that smarter, he would have probably put her daughter in that list too instead of making her run in Election :-)

I think history has already proved that he only got older but not wise. He was trying to make Maobadi a ladder to get to the throne but he himself is used by them and it is already a open secret. No one knows what happens tomorrow but what I see till today tells us that he just became a puppet to serve Maoist this time.

Hero? Are you kidding me? He is neither a hero, nor a blunder, nor a mistake. He is a joker and a porn star. For almost 20 years he played a joke on Nepal and went doggie-style on it. He, like any other politicians whether they belonged to NC, UML, Mao or whatever, made us blow him for so many years and now he is a hero? Nepali people forget that easily? Do post 1990 revolution and the hopes that faded with their lies, stupidities, mistakes mean a shit to anyone?

Without the security situation improved and YCL's criminal activities controlled, CA election was slightly cheated by Maoist. I don't think Other political parties dared to go to villages freely.

in my opinion Girija and all other old netas should be investigated for corruptions.
if found guilty they should be tried in accordance with New Nepal's Law.

GPK is the traitor...the demon the congress did not admit and discard. He was pleasing his delhi master for the sake of primeministership. GPK destroyed a newly established political system, a six decades old political party, an institution as important as Grand Palace of Thailand, and a 250 years old sovereign land.
The first stride towards the chaos was laid down by GPK when he, then prime minister, called for an election in early 90s even when his party, congress, was in majority in parliament. The mid-term election instigated a number of coalition governments most of which could last for no more than few months. His move for the poll derailed the process of strengthening a political system that was designed to function to a greater level or in fact was functioning well under a newly born constitution, which also controlled once powerful and authoritarian monarchy.
The infighting within the parties and among parties was likely to lead a visionless political exercise whereas ordinary people had hoped for better days under the multi-party democratic system. Those who did not want a politically stable Nepal, the situation was perfect to push an illusion in that society....an ideal time to fish. By mid 90s, India realized it as an opportunity and we saw NCP-Maoist.
GPK never listened to senior party members. He did not stop there. He even did not spare party pillars like Ganesh Man Singh and KP Bhattarai. His disrespects for those two party stalwarts led sad exits of both from congress one after another. Encircled always by group of psychopaths, he played a true master for them ruining everyone within congress who opposed him. On the other, he promoted his daughter and other family members, but how shamefully. At his behest, one Bangladeshi was awarded citizenship of Nepal just because one from his families required that. This reflects his respect for the law of the land.
What else he did for Nepal except Lauda, made collapsed of all government industries, sold government land, water rights....he fkkked everything worth some and high. And finally, he fkkkdd his own party- the one that gave him prime minister birth several times.....alsmost or more than 10 years. And whats congress position now- its in identify crisis its in shambles. But, at the same, mdfkkr was promoting maoist and this was very surprising to the ordinary congressman as well.. instead of working for own party agenda, why was he conceding every political demand that maoist asked for during this interim setup? All those demands are primarily related to political division of country or have potential to fracture the severity of the nation. Believe it or not, he was assigned by his masters from delhi to work the way they wanted and he was happy too...his politics was not for Nepali and Nepal.

GIRIJA is a root cause of the whole problem, after 90's ....But unfortunately, he will be the first president of Nepal i guess..what an irony...

Well guys I talked to one of their leaders. I guess he was Surya Bahadur's PA in KTM. I told him that the best alliance would be king and parties. He laughed at me cause they thought king was using them. Bad luck they didn't take my advice, now its payback time and get fuuckkked time for NC and CPN LM.

Actually,Girija is considered as one of the all time bad politicians of Nepal. He got many chances to win people's favour if he would have made wise decisions but he let them go away but made some stupid ones being concerned about his near and dear ones.He has been a worst political figure for me since i knew sth about politics.Conduction of CA polls and way maoist came to political mainstream should be considered towards his favour. At least he did sth in favour of people this time, may be on the eve of his life.No matter wat ever others say but personally we should be grateful to him that he conducted CA polls with good alliance with maoist.
Its sure he will be in hell but these acts helps added a brighter side to his profile.

I want to see his checks and balances. Heard that he has amassed more wealth then Gyaney. If that is true his days are numbered.

Well, if there will be any republic or any sort, I am sure, to keep the coalition intact, maoist might play this card..so Girija might be the first president!
About accepting him or not..lol, as of now he is so called head of the state!

I think that in an attempt to use Maoist for his benefit, he himself got used instead which is like getting Fu(ked in one's rear....he is now in the same place as Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. I guess now Girija realised how Ganesh Man felt when he was used by GPK.

Maoists have clearly disconnected GPK from NC, and have given him the challenge and opportunity to die with pride before his death. At the end of it, GPK will be considered a great politican , dispite all his flaws. And Maoists will give him that respect, but they will use him as much as they can before that.
