I'm in similar situation. Based on what company B's lawyer told me its always safe to get a couple of paystubs from company A before applying for transfer from A. Else, INS might think that there is a kind of blackmarket as even when there was no job in company A they sponsored your h-1b. In the worst scenario, they can even cancel the approved h-1b.

Hi MohanB
What will be the case if the H1B is effective only from 1st of Oct, and the candidate is on OPT. Do I need to show paystubs at that time also?

Hi Mohan, Thx a lot for the information. I heard that its easy to transfer H1-B on OPT as we just need to file in premium process and within 15 days it get transfer but the employer should not know abt it. and in my case I am from feb with this employer but i dint not job but just his attitude. And also heard that we can't change on H1-B before 3 pay stuff is it right? Meenaz.
