The planned October 9, 2009 bombing of the moon by a NASA orbiter that will bomb the moon with a 2-ton kinetic weapon to create a 5 mile wide deep crater as an alleged water-seeking and lunar colonization experiment, is contrary to space law prohibiting environmental modification of celestial bodies. The NASA moon bombing, a component of the LCROSS mission, may also trigger conflict with known extraterrestrial civilizations on the moon as reported on the moon in witnessed statements by U.S. astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and in witnessed statements to NSA (National Security Agency) photos and documents regarding an extraterrestrial base on the dark side of the moon.

this will severely modify moons mass, which will affect its orbit. Moon will then slowly start to move closer to earth, its orbit slowly decreasing in radius, finally the moon will crash with earth on Dec 12, 2012. LOL, just kidding. but seriously, they are going to bomb moon? wow!

A spacecraft packed with explosives capable of creating a 5 mile wide crater with pin point accuracy!!!!! I am not sure we are still talking about space exploration, sounds like a orbiting missile silo to me.

NASA crashes on the moon -- twice (CNN) -- Two U.S. spacecraft crashed on the moon Friday. On purpose. NASA's Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite dropped its Centaur upper-stage rocket on the lunar surface at 7:31 a.m. ET. NASA hoped the impact would kick up enough dust to help the LCROSS probe find the presence of water in the moon's soil. Four minutes later, the LCROSS followed the probe through the small debris plume, collecting and relaying data back to Earth before crashing into the Cabeus crater near the moon's south pole. The LCROSS carried spectrometers, near-infrared cameras, a visible camera and a visible radiometer. These instruments will help NASA scientists analyze the plume of dust -- more than 250 metric tons' worth -- for water vapor. The orbiting Hubble Space Telescope and NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter watched, and photographed, the impacts. And hundreds of telescopes on Earth also were focused on the site.

Watched the impact live on NASA TV online. For me (and probably for many of us) this is कालो अक्षर भैसि बराबर now. I hope we all will get educated soon.
