I am appearing for Dental License exam (NERB). I am looking for patients for performing dental filling on their tooth for the board exam. The benefit for patient is that they would have their dental check up (not treatment) for free including x ray even if they are not right candidate for board exam. If they are right candidate for board exam, their filling will also be free with free cleaning. I am based in Chicagoland. Please send me email if anybody are interested. This is in one way helping me also - I am finding very difficult to find right candidate for my exam. The screening date is on 12/05/2009. Thank you in advance. DDS

Phiste
Its not being guinea pig.
That's the time you may get one of the most ideal filling or excellent cleaning.

Be a subject of experiment for a rookie and jeopardize your organ (teeth)?
Ideal filling and excellent cleaning??? LOL You gotta be kidding.
Word of warning for those who are planning on participating: Think twice before committing yourself in the hands of noobs. Don't fall for "free" service. Your organs are too precious to let them be a specimen of experiments.

Hey guys, it’s better to get your tooth cleaned in a school environment by a rookie because: 1) They have to pass the exam and if they don’t do a good job they fail 2) They are under constant supervision of a PhD Dr (Dr squared), and if they miss anything their supervisors will do it for you. 3) The regular dentists could do a partial cleaning and charge your insurance for a full and you won’t even know. 4) There is no one to supervise the full dentist, so if they screw something they will make you pay to fix it. 5) Full dentists are expensive as opposed to these free rookies. I would go for them each time and I have been doing all this time.... unfortunately I am not in Chicago…

@ Phiste : I was practicing dentistry in Nepal before coming to US. Most of the Nepalese before coming to US did come to me and have their Complete Dental Treatment and lot of Nepalese who came for their vacation from US to Nepal also had their dental check up from me. They were happy and ready to pay for good treatment from me and I did not get single complains. I came to US for my post graduation, did two more year of study, refined my skill and learned more and improved my skill and handwork to the best. Before I could practice in US, I had to give my licensing exam called NERB and I did the same appeal to Nepali community as posted by DDS now. Same kind of replies was seen that time too. Luckily I found some of my patient whom I had treated in Nepal and they were more than happy to do their dental treatment for free in US. I am 100 percent sure that one of my best restoration (filling) was done on that day as well as scaling (cleaning) as it was being monitored by my Board members. I cleared and started practicing dentistry in US. Of course there is no question that now not only Nepali but even Americans need to pay hefty sum just for consultation with me. So plz phiste open your eyes and trust the Nepali doctors as they are more experienced than fresh graduate American counterparts for treating you. It’s not that white skin is better than brown skin. They get opportunity but we fight for it and we feel really sad when our brothers and sisters and community do not support us in this fight. Good luck to you DDS. (If i was in Chicago I would have sent you my patient for the exam) Regards GIG

Thanks a lot everybody.. specially.. Shirish, MN_Nepali and godisgreat..... Certainly, as I have to pass the exam I will try to do my best... moreover, I also have 2 years of experience... so guys.. do not worry... if anybody are interested...please let me know... I have a screening session on 12/05/09... Godisgreat, Glad to know that you are practising dentistry here.. .may I ask where? The reason I am asking is because as you said you can send me your patients also for exam... so I am wondering if you find ideal patient for NERB exam.then.. if he\she is willing to travel to Chicago, I am ready to pay 2 way ticket as well as accomodation here in Chicago for 2-3 days trip for ideal candidate.. My actual exam is on March 12th 2010. DDS

DDS, Please don't let the negative comments deter you. If my residence was within a 50 mile radius of Chicago, I would have gladly volunteered. Good luck with your upcoming licensure exams.
