Is there anyone who can share some experiences on using Nokia N8? I am thinking to buy Nokia N8 without renewing my existing cell phone plan so that I don't have to pay for data plan. If anyone has used Nokia N8 before please share your experiences.

I got that for someone, havent tried it myself, so dont have much inputs on that. If you are on ATT, just wanted to let you know on this part "renewing my existing cell phone plan so that I don't have to pay for data plan". Even if you dont have data plan and att detects u r using smartphone, they will add dataplan. Not sure if other carriers do the same.

No offense, but Nokia is being out dated now a days , specially if you are in United States!
Its occupying most space in cell phone market not because its best but its cheap and available in Asian countries.
If you want to spend some money on phone look somthing from Android !

Thanks for your suggestions guys! I am using T-mobile and know that they can also detect the cell phone model as I can see the model I am using right now in online account. But I am not sure they will force me to get the data plan when they will detect that or not.
BTW what are pros and cons of Symbian and Android platform?

i had N95 some 3 years ago, and I loved that phone. It could do many things that even Iphone cannot do easily, some of them being multi tasking, so easy to connect connect to home network for file sharing, the best camera with flash, and so on.
I have Sammsung Vibrant (Android) now, and my wife is using N95. In addition to above's points, when it comes to playing radio (Nepali FMs), Nokia is the best.
Only problem was it's not touch screen.
With N8, it should not be a problem I believe. Also, I am in T mobile, and i used N95 without any dataplan.
