Hey guys, while trying to fill the ' application for permanent resident in canada', i have encountered --- YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.... I am at usa as F1 since 3 years and now, em at opt after my master degree. so what is my country of residence. If you have filled your application, you probably know about this. Answers from experienced is appreciated.

I haven't applied for Canadian PR yet, but in most cases, your country of residence should be Nepal. Let's wait answers from the experts ....

No, it is the USA. If you put Nepal, it will take 5-6 years for you to get the PR.

Your country of residence is where you are at the time of making the application and can change in due course. Nepal is the country of brith and nationality.

Your Country of residence is USA (the most usual question following this is your status in the country). your Natinality/place of birth/paspport: Nepal.

thank you haangpang, lati ko poi, incrediblesuperbatma, RUKDHELL and abcdef.. now i got one more question if you want to suggest. I worked as IT manager in Nepal for more than 2 years. I don't have not any tax paper of that work. So in this case, is the company letter enough for proof of my job ? any suggestions regarding job experience--- from Canada PR Guru.
