Earlier, the timeline was: labor certification : 2 weeks - 3 months I-140 approval: 2 months (Considering No RFE) I-485 approval: 1 day - 2 weeks after I-140 is approved. These days, labor certification: 1 year - 15 months I-140 approval: 6 months (Considering No RFE) I-485 approval: 1 day - 2 weeks after I-140 is approved. (This is an arbitrary number for current conditions, might take longer) I got my labor certification, I-140, I-485 done in 150 days of 'processing time' on EB2, but that was sometime ago.

Pixie, go to www.trackitt.com to see the timelines ... Somethings that I have noticed :- (This is as of current dates) Labor :- As of date they are processing JUN/JUL 09 ... so you could say 8 months to a minimum . considering no RFE .. I-140... 2 Weeks to 2 Months .. I-485 :- Well for EB3 .. you need to wait until the visa is current and for EB2 you can file concurrent with I140 .. so it should get to you anywhere at an avg of 3 Months.. Hope this helps .. Good Luck

You are welcome Pixie, It is advisable to go to grad school, and then file under EB2 instead of waiting unconditionally for EB3. The entire process (of going to school, graduating, filing under EB2) will take less than four years, if you retain the same job and are funded for school that is. But under EB3, in a worst case scenario it might even take as long as 10 years.

Your employer can track the labor certification but I don't think you can unless the employer gives you their credentials.

My Case: (EB2) Labor: 9 months I-140 - 6 Weeks I-485 - Just applied today. I-140 and I-485 can be filed concurrently under EB2 for Nepal. I applied separately for some health appointment delays.
