This June marks 10 years of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Nepal. For many, TPS has been a lifeline. Of the 13,000 Nepali nationals who once had TPS, fewer than 2,000 remain. Now, there is hope. The bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act of 2025 offers a pathway to citizenship for TPS holders. Supported by 201 members of Congress, including top Republicans who call it a great bill, it may become law by December 24, 2025. For those who have built their lives here, this is a chance at a secure future.
Good luck!!!

ShaniDev is right. There are around 7500 approved TPS holders as of Dec 2024.

Update! Update!!! (SourceDC-Eaman Law)
When determining whether to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for designated countries, various factors are considered, including asylum approval rates. Following a review of data for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, Nepal has an asylum approval rate of 79.3%, significantly higher than El Salvador (37.3%), Nicaragua (43.7%), Honduras (29.1%), and Haiti (31.7%). Based on this and other relevant information, an 18-month extension of TPS for certain countries cannot be ruled out.
