im a student here in US and after few months later im planning to go Nepal for a month long vacation. But some people say that it is not good to go Nepal when im not maintaining good academic standing. What i mean is my GPA is just around 2, and hopefully i will maintain it by the end of this semester. In addition to this i got ticket on gas station for selling tobacco product for minor. what I want to know is does this really matter??
Do they really know about my academic standing or just care about my status ? My status as a student is fine.
Im scared that they will stop me getting back here. Some healthy suggestion please.

As far as I know US consulate has access to your academic performance and your current enrollment. I think as long as you don't have to visit US consulate in Nepal you are pretty much safe. It is certainly a matter of concern and luck too if they ask lot of question regarding your performance rather than your status in US. Getting tickets at Gas station doesn't relate you as most of the tickets are issued under name of the gas station indicating the seller, so you don't have to bother about it, no will ever know. Now it's up to you to decide!

No boy,
you don't have to worry about the immigration officer in the entry port. To be in academically in good standing.......definately you should be 2.0 or above...not around too............so.....just be sure that Tobacco thing for selling to minor is not related to going and coming from nepal......let me tell u my experience in last december:
stay cool, be in line to get stamp in your passport and I2o while entering US........when your turn comes then just go ahead say Hello sir, they gonna greet you the same way........and they asked me how is going? then i was like Wassup? The officer told me Not much...then he just looked my I2o...and stamped ....and din't even ask more then this ......then he haned my paper back and told me "You good to go sir" i m like "Thank you".
then its over dude...........nothing to worry about.......stay cool..........don't let you heart be bothered........so.....go to nepal and enjoy and come back..........
